Standard Serial interface on RAP-3

Why is the RAP-3 equipped with and header connector for console access instead of a RJ-45 connector (or USB)?

It would be very nice to travel with only one console cable.

Quite frankly, the serial connector is very rarely used.  The main end-user interface is Zero-Touch provisioning after the reset button is held down...

The RAP-3 are built with a 4-pin TTL console port, which is not RS-232. The RAP-3 port is accessible in the middle of the underside of the unit only and like CJ said console port hardly every used and RAPs are ment for zero touch provisioning.
