Re: iPad and iPod with iOS 4.2.1 no longer working

It does not look like that debug will get to the bottom of what is happening here. The problem will probably only discovered by doing a packet capture. Please open a case so that this can be looked at in earnest.

Re: iPad and iPod with iOS 4.2.1 no longer working

One thing I left out of the original post is that we aure running ArubaOS 5.0.2.0 (Digitally Signed - Production Build) just in case that makes a difference.

Re: iPad and iPod with iOS 4.2.1 no longer working

We were on ArubaOS 5.0.0.1 (Digitally Signed - Production Build) and just upgraded to ArubaOS 6.0.0.1 (Digitally Signed - Production Build) this morning to see if that helped.
No luck, still having the problem.

Re: iPad and iPod with iOS 4.2.1 no longer working

Here is the debugg info. I connected to the AP, told the iPad to shut off wi-fi, connected to wi-fi a second time and within 30 seconds all traffic stopped and I had to reset network prefs to get connected again.

Re: iPad and iPod with iOS 4.2.1 no longer working

Please make sure that 802.11k and 802.11h are disabled in the 802.11a and 802.11g profiles. This has been known to cause issues in apple devices:

Re: iPad and iPod with iOS 4.2.1 no longer working

We had the same issue for the ipads in our company.

"Enable CSA" and " Advertise 802.11d and 802.11h Capabilities" were disabled.
However, "Advertise 802.11K Capability" was active.. disabling it did resolve the issue.

Any chance to explain the why and how of this a bit?

Re: iPad and iPod with iOS 4.2.1 no longer working

I disabled Advertise 802.11K Capability and so far so good. That appears to have fixed the issue.
