Wearable computing

Wearable devices will accelerate our consumption of information. As the technology matures, 802.11ac wireless networks will become the primary means of delivering voice, video, and data. I am excited about the multi-user downlink technology as 3+ devices per user becomes the design target.

Smart glasses with heads up displays for recording and watching video, and wireless watches steaming live news feeds will generate very busy environments with many deployments trending towards high density as a result. 802.11ac will help deliver these services in ever more crowded environments.

Rumor is that the first iteration of Google Glass will be b/g only. :(
