Problem:

Receiving below error:"Error in processing request.Please retry.. "while clicking access tracker

 

 



Diagnostics:

Normally the above error is noticed under below conditions:

 

1) After installing the database server certificate and if we did not reboot the box.

2) If the above reboot is done immediately after the database server certificate is installed. We need to restart the box only after waiting for few minutes.  

 

To re-install the database server certificate (which is self signed in below example. Recommended is to have the database server certificate signed by PKI or public CA

Navigate to Administration->Certificates->Certificate Store

From the drop down menu, Select the appropriate server on which issue is noticed and select usage needs to be "Database Server Certificate"

Click "Create Self-Signed Certificate" at the top right corner and fill the details. In SAN field, please enter the IP address of local Clearpass server , private key password . Submit and install the certificate.

 

 



Solution

 

Wait for few minutes after installing the database server certificate and reboot the server using command: "system restart" from CLI of Clearpass server. Once below alert in event viewer(Monitoring->Event viewer) of the Clearpass server is noticed, we can go ahead reboot the server.

 

 

After server is rebooted, the access tracker will load fine without any issues.
