Unable to join CPPM to a domain

Environment : This applies to all versions of CPPM.


I see the below error when i join the server.

Adding host to AD domain...
INFO - Fetched the NETBIOS name 'CLEARPASS'
INFO - Creating domain directories for 'CLEARPASS'
Enter cppm-admin's password:
kerberos_kinit_password cppm-admin@CLEARPASS.ARUBA.COM failed:
Ticket is ineligible for postdating
Failed to join domain: failed to connect to AD: Ticket is ineligible
for postdating
INFO - Restoring smb configuration
INFO - Restoring krb5 configuration file
INFO - Deleting domain directories for 'CLEARPASS'
ERROR - CPPM failed to join the domain CLEARPASS.ARUBA.COM
with domain controller as clearpass.aruba.com
Join domain failed


This issue us caused because of the time/time zone mismatch.

The above issue will be  resolved by making sure that the time is proper on the CPPM and AD server.

In CLI (login as "appadmin") you can verify the timezone with "show timezone".

Use "configure timezone" to start the time zone configuration.

Use "configure date -s <ntp-server> to add a timeserver for better timesync.
