Why is clearpass not allowing guests to login with devices using foreign language(Japanese/French) but is allowing access using US (English) devices?

Environment : This KB holds valid for all versions of Clearpass


Post registration, we see an error on the guest registration receipt as shown below:



Self registration validation fails for start_time and expire_time


Edit start_time and expire_time fields in the receipt form to allow validation of time in different languages


This primarily happens as validation fails for the format of date provided by phones used in different languages

The issue can be fixed with following steps :

1) Edit the Self-Registration page being used.
2) Click on the form under the receipt page
3) Edit start_time
4) Go to Advanced Properties as shown below :

Change the Display Function value to None .

Repeat the above steps for expire_time field as well.
