Change channel on AP105 RAP used for survey

Hi,

I've configure a few AP105 and AP124 to be used for site surveys. They are all setup fine, with 'always on' ssid etc, but one of the AP105s comes up on channel 120.

I believe this is one of the DFS channels and as such can take about 5 mins for the radio to finally start beaconing. I don't need this delay and would like to set the channel on the AP via a console cable to be something like channel 40.

Does anyone know how I can do this? The instructions on the KB were only for the AP70.

Appreciate the help.

Thanks

Before you attempt this, I want you to know that this is NOT supported, whatsoever:

2.4GHz (setting to channel 6 with max tx-power):
cd /proc/sys/dev/wifi1
echo "6" > channel
echo "60" > tx_power
echo "1" > commit

5GHz (setting to channel 48 with max tx-power):
cd /proc/sys/dev/wifi0
echo "48" > channel
echo "60" > tx_power
echo "1" > commit

Note that the tx_power number to set is calculated as follows:
tx_power = 2*(wanted_EIRP - antenna_gain)

Re: Change channel on AP105 RAP used for survey

Thanks Colin,

When I break the boot cycle, it says

apboot> cd /proc/sys/dev/wifi0
Unknown command 'cd' - try 'help'

If I let it boot up, it says
~# cd /proc/sys/dev/wifi0
cd: Permission denied

You need to wait until it boots completely and then type "ctrl-alt-esc-k"
