Difference between access points AP105 and AP12x

Hi

What the difference between access points AP105 and AP12x ?
I see the AP105 is 2x2 and AP12x is 3x3

What is the impact of data rate of mode 2x2 ? (there is bench ?)

Differences between AP-105 and AP-125

The maximum datarate of an 802.11n device is determined by the number of supported spatial MIMO streams. Both AP-125 and AP-105 support 2 such streams, meaning that the maximum datarate per radio is 300Mbps.

The 3x3 radio configuration (3 transmit chains, 3 receive chains) of the AP-125 results in an advantage in challenging RF environments (for example when lots of metal objects are present resulting in lots of reflections) when it's necessary to optimize the coverage area.

Note that there are some additional differences between the two AP models:

- AP-105 has a single Ethernet port only
- AP-105 has integrated, non-adjustable antennas
- The maximum data throughput of an AP-105 is slightly lower (order 5%)
- The AP-125 supports higher encrypted packet throughput when used as a remote access point or mesh node.

You also must run 3.3.3.1 to support the AP-105, or 3.4.1.0.
