ap is no longer associated with controller issues

:confused:well i came into the office today and saw that one of my APs is no longer associated with the controller. I tried replacing the ethernet cable on the switch side and that did not work. I very new to this, so does anyone know what the deal is? We have about 10 other APs and they are working fine with no issues.

thanks in advanced.

If this is an AP105, grab your console cable and terminal emulation program. Connect the console cable to that AP on the console port and apply ethernet or power to the access point. Capture the output and see what is going on.

Re: ap is no longer associated with controller issues

thanks, what command should i use to capture output on the AP?

ap is no longer associated with controller issues

Just set your terminal to 9600 8n1 and log the output as the AP boots.

It will print to the screen automatically and indicate if:

a) It got an IP address
b) It knows or discovers who the Master controller is
c) whether it is trying to download code
d) wether it connects to the controller

So... it's a matter of watching and then reviewing the output, rather than command(s)
