Environment         Typical OSPF area environment integration using MAS switch.

 

This article applied from MAS switch code 7.2 and above.

 

Yes; MAS switch supports all OSPF area types as controller.

 

  1. NSSA
  2. Totally Stubby
  3. Totally NSSA

 
Configuration CLI

 

(ArubaS3500-48P) (config) #router ospf

(ArubaS3500-48P) (Global OSPF profile) #area 1 ?

nssa                    Set an area as NSSA area

stub                    Set an area as stub area

<cr>

(ArubaS3500-48P) (Global OSPF profile) #area 1 stub ?

no-summary              Do not send summary LSA into this area

<cr>

(ArubaS3500-48P) (Global OSPF profile) #area 1 stub no-summary

(ArubaS3500-48P) (Global OSPF profile) #area 2 nssa ?         

default-info-originate  Enable sending of default route in this NSSA

no-summary              Do not send summary LSA into this area

translate-always        Translate Type-7 to Type-5 lsa

Default route can be advertised to various areas. To send default route in NSSA, following configuration can be used:

 

ArubaS3500-48P)(Global OSPF profile) #area <areaid> nssa default-info-originate metric <1-65535> metric-type <1-2>

 

To send default route in normal area, following configuration can be used:

 

(ArubaS3500-48P)(Global OSPF profile) #default-info-originate [always]

metric <1-65535> metric-type <1-2>
