Thats odd, are you 100% certain it is the correct transceiver? It might give us more clues if you enable the unsupported transceiver option

Its an orderable part for that switch, what does the output of 'show tech transceivers' and also 'show tech transceivers' display?

I'm not sure whether it's 100% original or not.

I tried enable unsupported transceiver also. Again it's showing the same as below.

Port # | Type | Prod # | Serial # | Part #
-------+-----------+------------+------------------+----------
1 | SFP+LR | J9151E | CN01KBW0GM | 1990-4727
2 | SFP+LR | J9151E | CN01KBW01H | 1990-4727
3 | SFP+LR | J9151E | CN01KBW13N | 1990-4727
4 | SFP+LR | J9151E | CN01KBW1N2 | 1990-4727
5 | SFP+LR | J9151E | CN01KBW0Q0 | 1990-4727
6 | SFP+LR | J9151E | CN01KBW0QD | 1990-4727
9 | ?? | ?? | unsupported |

The following transceivers have extra information:
Port # Message
-------- -------------------------------------
Port 9 Transceiver type not supported in this port.

Re: Aruba-3810M SFP j4859 shows unsupported

Hi! out of curiosity: try to insert the J4859D Transceiver into port 8 or 13 (if free)...will be shown as unsupported again?

What software version is your Aruba 3810M currently running?
