Aruba Apps

Hello all,

I wanted to upgrade our Aruba Clearpass as well as our Controller.

Controller version:

Model: Aruba3600
Version: 6.1.3.7
Compiled: 2013-02-08 at 18:31:05 PST (build 37112) by p4build 

Clearpass:

ClearPass Policy Manager 6.1.0.50820 on CP-VA-500 platform

but I could not find, which I should do first, as well if I can upgrade them both without any issues since they're both in a live environment currently.

Could someone please point me in the correct direction.

You could do either , you shouldn't need to do it in order.

But to make sure that run into issue with both systems I will suggest you do one at a time , confirm that things are working properly and then upgrade the other system.

Backup the config on both and read the release notes .

For the controller I suggest you install the latest 6.3.1.13 there's a lot of bug fixes

But for ClearPass what version are you trying to upgrade to ?

I have customers using 6.4 with no issues today but I recommend that you read the release notes and see if there's any known issues that might impact your environment

In the release notes there's instructions on how to upgrade from your current version to 6.4
