VisualRF Plan not starting

  • 1.  VisualRF Plan not starting

    VisualRF Plan was working fine on my laptop when suddenly I could no longer start the application. No errors show up that might indicate the underlying issue.. the application just doesn't start when I click its icon.

    My OS is Windows 8.1 and Google Chrome is my default browser.

    Appreciate if you can help me solve this issue.

    Which version are you running? In the later versions it is browser/Java based. If you are running v8 and above try the following. This happens on a frequent basis to myself and the below worked for me previously when there was issues and there has been no changes to my system....

     

    - Uninstall VisualRF

    - install the latest JAVA version and adobe flash player.

    - Delete temp %temp% folders and prefetch folder. Rebooted the PC.

    - Re-install VisualRF

    Hi Team,

     

    Ii was trying to open the VRF also its not opening also it is giving the below error.

    Even i tried uninstalling & installed but again the same issue ?

     

    what could be the reason ?

    I will also tag on to this thread.

     

    What is the status of the visual RF planner?

    I see that version 8 is not supported on windows 10 from the release notes, and I am struggling to get it working. The symptom mentioned in the thread is the same for me. Try to start the application, get a small visual RF window, and the it diappears like it never existed.

    I have tried emptying folders, uninstalled and whatnot.

    It's a very handy application to have just to place AP's on a PDF for installation.

    It's not scientificly 100% accurate, but many small installs don't want to pay for a proper WiFi survey, and are happy with a predicted model like this.
