Default clients to wired when connected to wired LAN

Hi,

We have laptops that connect great to our AP65s (3.3.2.13 OS). However, when staff take their laptops back to their offices and dock or connect to the wired LAN the traffic still routes over their wireless card.

The wireless coverage in their offices might not be great, leading to performance issues. Their wired NIC is picking up an IP address, and when you disable their wireless card traffic routes across wired and performance picks up.

Is there any way to make wired the preferred path for traffic, even when connected to wireless?

If the OS is Windows XP there was a bug where the OS gave the wireless card greater priority than the wired interface. If you have Windows XP service pack 3, this has been dealt with already. To deal with it manually, see this thread: http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=1574447&page=3
