Getting user location from controller

I have a requirement to be able to run a script that pulls information on what AP a user is connected to, specifically to identify their location.

For example, a user will connect to an AP named "Paris-1", I want to be able to pull this information using a script.

At present, I can only think of logging in, running a show user or show station, and then parsing the result.

Is there any alternative or easier way to get this information?

You can use SNMP to do the same thing. At, under documentation, find your version of ArubaOS and look at the MIB reference guide. That should give you a starting point.
