ISA 2006 Proxy Error

Hi

I have a requirement to route all web traffic from the guest network through our ISA 2006 proxy server.

I have tried using a proxy rule DNATing all http (80) traffic to the proxy (8080). I just get an error page

HTTP 502: The Uniform Resource Locator (URL) does not use a recognized protocol

I have removed all authentication requirements from the proxy and the rule allows traffic between the guest LAN and External.

I can get this working by setting the default gateway for the guest lan as the proxy however this "breaks" https access and access to internal servers on other LAN's

Any help would be appreciated

Re: ISA 2006 Proxy Error

The answer may be in your ISA configuration. The ISA server must be configured as a transparent proxy for this to work.

Re: ISA 2006 Proxy Error

I have looked at the technet document before and I don't think ISA can be configured as a transparent proxy it does something similar called securenat but it is not a "real" transparent proxy.

Re: ISA 2006 Proxy Error

the dst-nat feature will ONLY work with a transparent proxy.
