type "show switchinfo" and make sure that switchip of the controller can be reached by the access points. It looks like they are initially discovering it and then being redirected to an ip address where they get lost.

type "show ap system-profile default" and see what the LMS-ip is.

The IP address 192.168.123.2 is what the APs are trying to reach. Is that an ip address on the controller?

I am glad it stumped you also, although this is my first encounter with Aruba, i'm thinking, man it cant be that hard! Everything worked fine until PEF-NG came along.

Well, it turns out i had inadvertently removed the trusted VLAN range on the controllers ethernet interface that the APs talk on.
