snmp trap for AP down

I have a 3600 controller with split tunnel remote APs. I have an snmp trap getting sent whenever an AP goes down, however the webui and the traps do not reflect the same status. The traps seem to get sent more frequently so it appears that a lot more APs are down than what the webui shows on the 3600 controller. Does anyone know what triggers a trap to be sent? Is there a constant heartbeat that gets sent from the AP and when one heartbeat isn't heard a trap is sent? Just curious why the number of traps for AP down aren't the same as the webui and what it shows as the number of APs that are down.

Re: snmp trap for AP down

Can you post an example? More than one trap IS sent when an AP goes down.
