This message is to notify Aruba Central Guest Access (Cloud Guest) of a pending change by LinkedIn that will impact any captive portal splash page that uses LinkedIn authentication.
This information will also be posted in the Announcements section of Aruba Support Center (http://support.arubanetworks.com/Announcements/tabid/139/Default.aspx) (note this portion requires authentication to view)
SUMMARY
Aruba Central Cloud Guest customers who use LinkedIn authentication for Guest Access (GA) splash pages will experience a service disruption on May 01, 2019.
LinkedIn will be deactivating the APIs that are currently used by Guest Access splash pages at this time. Service visitors attempting to authenticate to captive portal pages using LinkedIn will fail to authenticate despite correctly entering credentials.
Aruba is committed to retaining this functionality in the product and apologizes for any inconvenience that this service interruption may cause.
Resolution
Aruba is currently working on developing a fix for this issue.
Workaround
Aruba Central Cloud Guest customers using LinkedIn authentication for splash pages are recommended to enable an alternate authentication method until this issue is resolved.
We apologize for this service disruption to your environment.
The Central Guest Access Team
