[Community Quick Tips] Floating Your Favorite Boards and Marking Posts

While talking to one of our community members about web usability, I realized that there are a few “hidden gems” in our community platform which may help users start engaging faster. One of the most common usability challenges with online forums is locating discussions you are interested in without excessive navigation. With this in mind, our community moderator Sheila has recently authored two Airheads Knowledge Base articles which may help you improve your Airheads Social user experience.

The first article talks about how to float your favorite boards to top of the boards list. This is a great way to customize the “Discuss” page and get to your favorite boards faster.

The second article is on marking all posts in a particular board as new or read. This is will allow you to use the “New” column on the boards list to identify boards with new discussions since your last visit.

Take a look at these Knowledge articles and give the features a try. We hope this information will help you start participating in the community faster. Remember, you have to be logged into the community to enable these customization features. So if you have been lurking in a read-only mode, why not take a moment to register for a free Airheads Social account today.
