When using AMP to poll SNMP devices (AP's) in your network, you should consider the SNMP Timeout.
The default in AMP is three seconds.
This means that the AMP server will poll all devices and wait for three seconds for a response. If not received in three seconds, it will retry the request.
When installed in a large Aruba network (>200 AP's), this could cause a significant spike in both traffic and CPU load on your Aruba controller. It would be a good recommendation to change this timeout period to 30 seconds to allow the multiple devices a chance to respond, plus it will reduce the amount of SNMP traffic going through your wireless network.
