Product and Software: This article applies to Aruba controllers and ArubaOS versions.

The controllers can be made to recognize non-Aruba vendor-specific attributes, returned by the RADIUS server. To do this, add the attribute to the list of recognizable attributes, in the following format:

aaa radius-attributes add <attribute name> <attribute-id> <attribute-type> vendor <vendor-id>

<attribute name>: the name of the attribute that would be recognized by the controller.
<atttribute-id>: the ID of the specific attribute, as per the vendor assignment.
<attribute-type>: the type of the attribute. Can be: date, integer, ipaddr, or string.
<vendor-id>: as allocated by IETF.
