Product and Software: This article applies to all Aruba 800 controllers and ArubaOS versions.
An upgrade from A800-4 to A800-16 is permanent. This means that the information in the EEPROM is changed permanently to reflect an A800-16 instead of an A800-4. The process cannot be reverted without Aruba intervention.
You have two options:
1) RMA the controller.
2) Go into the shell (Linux mode), and issue the following command to revert the controller to an A800-4:
platid -c A804
