How do I undo the changes if I wrongly installed an A800-16 license on an A800-4 controller? My old licenses (installed on 800-4) have become nullified.

Product and Software: This article applies to all Aruba 800 controllers and ArubaOS versions.

An upgrade from A800-4 to A800-16 is permanent. This means that the information in the EEPROM is changed permanently to reflect an A800-16 instead of an A800-4. The process cannot be reverted without Aruba intervention.

You have two options:

1) RMA the controller.

2) Go into the shell (Linux mode), and issue the following command to revert the controller to an A800-4:

platid -c A804
