How does mini-setup mode differs from full-setup when configuring the branch office controllers?

Solution:

There are three ways to provision a Branch controller

1.ZTP

2.Mini-setup – This is done over the serial console of the controller

3.Full-setup – This is done over the serial console of the controller.

ZTP (Zero Touch Provisioning) work when you provide master IP address either by DHCP (Option 60, Option 43) or by provisioning rule on Activate. In absence of these, one need to provision it manually in one the two mode, mini-setup or full-setup.

Mini-setup, just full fills the absence of auto-provisioning. This allows a administrator to do manual configuration of master IP and country code.

Where as Full-setup, allows a user to configure every detail, such as controller mode, uplink port, static/dhcp gateway and so on.

Verification

One can always verify the configured settings by looking at the running configuration of branch office controller.
