How to find minimum supported OS version for an Aruba Access Point?

Environment : This article applies to Aruba Campus Access Points and Aruba Instant Access Points.

 

Even before connecting the APs to the network, it is more important to understand the minimum supported OS version by these access points.  Because, a significant amount of code goes into OS while development to identify an AP model and make it function accordingly. And, if a code version running on the controller is not up-to-date to identify the AP, then it would never shwo up in the AP database.

Therefore, this article states where a WLAN administrator would be looking in, for this information.

Aruba datasheet for a AP, would include all the technical information that one need to know about. One of the section in the datasheet is about "Minimum Operating System Software Versions", as shown below:
