How to manually adjust EIRP levels for AirMatch Solutions in ArubaOS 8.x?

Requirement:

Aruba Controllers and VM's should be running minimum AOS: 8.1.x and above

 



Solution:

Starting from AOS: 8.1.x the 5 GHz (802.11a) and 2.4 GHZ (802.11g) radio profiles include an EIRP Offset parameter that allow you to manually adjust EIRP levels by defining an additional EIRP offset value (from -6 to 6 dB) that will be added to the AirMatch solution.

 



Configuration:

From WebUI:

For 2.4 GHz Radio:

1. Navigate to the Configuration > System page and select the Profiles tab.

2. Select RF Management 

3. Select 2.4 GHz radio and go to the appropriate profile

4. Manually Set eirp-offset value:

5.  Click Submit.

6. Click Pending Changes.

7. In the Pending Changes window, select the check box and click Deploy changes. 

For 5. GHz Radio:

1. Navigate to the Configuration > System page and select the Profiles tab.

2. Select RF Management 

3. Select 5 GHz radio and go to the appropriate profile

4. Manually Set eirp-offset value:

6. Click Pending Changes.

7. In the Pending Changes window, select the check box and click Deploy changes.
