Unable to delete a SNMPV3 User or a Trap Receiver under SNMP configuration on the controller ?

Jun 29, 2014 06:40 PM

Environment : This article applies to Aruba Mobility Controllers running ArubaOS version 5.0 and Above.

When WMS offload is enabled on AirWave, a set of commands are pushed via SSH to all Aruba Master Controllers to offload WMS and AirWave creates a new SNMPv3 user on the controller.

This entry can be removed from SNMPv3 users or Trap Receivers by deleting the MMS configuration under Configuration > General > Mobility Manager Servers. But if the Status of the MMS is Active ( which is denoted with an asterisk symbol ) Airwave will keep on creating the entry under MMS , hence remove the WMS offload configuration in the AirWave in such case.
