What are the possibilities that Bridge mode clients are unable to pass the traffic?

Q:

What are the possibilities that Bridge mode clients are unable to pass the traffic?

A:

Controller AOS: 6.4.2.4

When the clients connected to Bridge mode SSID at random times they will not be able to pass the traffic.

One of the possibilities is that if the Bridge table on the AP got corrupted which triggers the client in stuck mode and unable to pass traffic.

In Bridge table the bridge device should be mapped with aruba001 and aruba101.

Tunnel mode VAP should be mapped with aruba100 and aruba000.

In the below example we can see that Tunnel mode VAP is mapped to Bridge device due to which the clients unable to pass the traffic.

#show datapath bridge ap-name "TESTAP"

3    bond0         3      1       0/0   14867685   9469221  FTQB
9    br0           0      1    2700/0          2         0  IB
14   aruba100      1      0       2/0    8939232  12748150  B   <===========================
16   aruba000      1      0       2/0     543011   3481869  B      <===========================

The workaround is by rebooting the AP which will fix the issue.

We need to make sure in Bridge table the bridge device should be mapped with correct VAP entries.
