Q:
Why do we see ‘invalid timezone’ error while uploading the branch-config file in ArubaOS 6.5.x.x?
A:
In 6.4.x.x code, we can export the branch-config, configure the timezone field to ‘EST’ (for example) and successfully upload the file. But in 6.5.0.0 code, if we export the branch-config, configure the timezone field to ‘EST’ we get the error ‘invalid timezone’.
This is because, in 6.5 validation was introduced to check if the timezone is configured correctly with a pre-defined set of values. Validation never existed before. "Eastern-Time" is the allowed value and not EST and hence the error. Changing it to "Eastern-Time" should fix the issue.
