Question:  Why is the “TKIP decrypt failed for RX frame” error message logged in the Syslog folder of the Linux machine?

 

Product and Software: This article applies to all Aruba controllers and ArubaOS 3.x.

 

 

Issue

When the Linux client associated with the Aruba access point (AP), the error message "TKIP decrypt failed for RX frame" is logged in the Syslog folder of the Linux machine.

 

 

Reason

This issue is with the Linux kernel 2.6.24-22-generic and linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24-22-generic with the WiFi Driver modinfo iwl3945 description: Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG/BG Network Connection driver for Linux.
