Q: How to disable radio for each in an Aruba Instant AP cluster?
A: In earlier Instant version, disabling radio for each AP in a cluster was not an option. Starting 4.2, we can disable radio for any AP in a cluster which is a per AP setting, without rebooting or deleting SSID. When A or G radio is disabled, SSID on that particular radio for the corresponding AP will no longer broadcast.
Note: This is per AP setting and currently supported in CLI only.
Configuration:
To disable dot11 a/g radio:
ac:a3:1e:c5:c5:d8#dot11?
dot11a-radio-disable
dot11g-radio-disable
To enable dot11 a/g radio:
ac:a3:1e:c5:c5:d8#no dot11a-radio-disable
ac:a3:1e:c5:c5:d8#no dot11g-radio-disable
