Does IAP support PPPoE on the uplink port? What are the features supported?

Environment : This article applies to all the Instant APs running OS version 6.1.3.4_3.1.x.x or above.

 

With 6.1.3.4-3.1.x.x, PPPoE is now a supported uplink type. Here are the currently supported features:
  • PPPoE is in the same level as Ethernet and is only triggered when the AP fails to get IP address.
  • Only single AP deployments are supported with PPPoE uplink.
  • No uplink redundancy when PPPoE is used as uplink.
  • Supports PAP and CHAP.
