How do I manually add Instant Access Points to the Device Management list?

Environment : This article applies to Aruba Instant or higher and managed by Aruba Central.



Certain times Aruba Central might not retrieve the devices list from your account. In such cases you need to manually add devices to your Aruba Central account.

Following screenshots would guide you to add a device manually to the Central account:

1. Click on "All Groups" in the top-left and navigate to Maintenance -> Device Management. Click on "Add Device":




2. Clik on "Add Device" and the below pop-up shows up. Follow the instructions in the pop-up to add the activation code. Once the activation code is verified with Aruba Central, it would add the Virtual Controller and its member IAPs to the "Device Management" list.

Following figure helps shows us the Cloud Activation Key on Maintenance -> About tab. This key would appear only if the IAP has Internet connectivity and has been registered in Activate.
