How many concurrent console access can be taken from Aruba Central.

May 16, 2018 07:15 AM

Q:

How many concurrent console access can be taken from Aruba Central.

A:
Console (SSH over https) access to the managed devices can be taken from Aruba Central for troubleshooting purpose.

This can be taken by navigating to Monitoring & Reports -> Network Overview -> APs -> List of Up APs - > Select the AP -> Action -> Console.

Enter the password (group password) to access the SSH of the AP. This access is available for troubleshooting purpose.

Only two concurrent console sessions are available for a device at a time. This is based on the number of active console session per AP. (Irrespective of user login).

For example, multiple user account (admin/read-only) may exist for an account in Aruba Central. While user "A" has opened two active sessions, third session will not be available for any of the users. If a third attempt is made to access the console session by any of the user, a prompt to kill the older session will appear. Upon killing it, the older session terminates abruptly and the new session can be made.

Hence the number of active console session is limited to two.
