Q:
How to configure the uplink vlan option on the IAP from apboot prompt?

A:

We can configure the uplink vlan from the apboot using the below steps:

Steps:

Interrupt the boot sequence of the IAP by hitting enter when prompted to get into the apboot prompt:

apboot> setenv uplink_vlan 24
apboot> saveenv

Saving Environment to Flash...
Un-Protected 1 sectors
. done
Erased 1 sectors
Writing 9....8....7....6....5....4....3....2....1....

apboot> boot

~ # Switching to Full Access  >>>> USE ESC+CTRL+K to get full access
~ # cat tmp/uplink_vlan
24~ #

Note: These steps are from a console session of the IAP

I run an IAP cluster of IAP345 APs with AOS 8.3.0.1 and for me it seems that when setting this via APBoot prompt, the setting keeps beeing ignored (i have to set it again via CLI or UI).

Is this desired or am i doing a mistake?

Best,

Thomas
