Role-based access control feature for Managed service UI Portal.



A:

The Managed Service Portal administrators can now allow or restrict user access to the Managed Service Portal application and its modules.

The role creation page (Global Settings Users & Roles > Roles > New Role) in the Managed Service Portal UI now displays the MSP option under Application Permissions.

In the Managed Service Portal view, Central allows users with administrator role and privileges to configure MSP application permissions. The Managed Service Portal tenant account user does not have access to the MSP application. Even if a tenant account user is assigned a custom role having MSP application privileges:

The tenant account user will not have access to the MSP application.

MSP will not appear in the Global Settings > Users & Roles > Roles > Allowed Applications list.

To define user access criteria for Managed Service Portal modules, click Customize and configure access permissions for the following modules:
