Q:
Support for high multicast rate on Instant Access Points
By default, AP sends multicast packet in IEEE 802.11 basic-rate-set. Starting Instant version 4.3, new multicast-rate knob has been introduced in the SSID profile to achieve higher transmitting rate. This includes 6, 9, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48, 54 Mbps, which will boost the wireless multicast throughput. When the multicast-rate knob is enabled, it transmits only the multicast traffic with DSCP value 32-47 at higher rates. Rest of the multicast traffic with different DSCP value will not take affect.
Note: By default multicast rate knob is disabled.
CLI Command:
New CLI sub-command has been introduced in SSID profile.
