What does the mode "IAP-SUB" means on Activate.
What does the mode "IAP-SUB" means on Activate?
On Activate, when searched using device Serial # or Mac address, Activate throws the entire device information which also contains a filed called "Mode". This field is to identify the device type to be slave or VC. If mode is shown as IAP-SUB, then it's a slave for device shown in the "Controller" field. If the device type is VC then "Mode" will show up as IAP-VC and Controller field will have it's own MAC address.
When searched using Slave's serial#/Mac address.
In below output, AA0030701 is the Slave for the VC - AC:A3:1E:C5:00:01 shown in the Controller field. Hence it's mode is shown as IAP-SUB
When searched using VC's serial#/Mac address.
In below output, AA0235233 is the VC hence the mode is shown as IAP-VC and Controller field has it's own Mac address.
