What effect do hard reset and purge have on an IAP that is converted to a CAP?

Jul 02, 2014 06:20 PM

Product and Software: This article applies to all Aruba Instant platforms and versions.

After you convert an Aruba Instant AP (IAP) to a campus AP (CAP), the AP acts as a CAP and holds the configuration that is pushed from the controller.

Purge: When you purge this AP, the configuration that was pushed from the controller is erased and the AP acts like a new, out-of-box CAP.

Hard Reset: When you do a hard reset, this AP rolls back to the factory default and acts like a new, out-of-box IAP.
