I have a new Aruba installation and am having connectivity issues with some clients. I've resolved some of them but have an instance with a client PC that when I turn on 802.11r for the SSID, they are unable to connect. The Windows 8.1 connection asks for a password but then it tries to connect for some time and then says it can't. If the 802.11r is unchecked, they connect just fine.

The PC is Dell laptop running Windows 8.1 with an Intel 4965ag module. Could it just be a bug with the driver or have others seen similar behaviour when selecting the 802.11r option.

    I'm using Aruba Instant 6.4.2.0-4.1.1.1_46936.

Many clients do not yet support 802.11r. It should only be enabled if you know that ALL of your clients support it.

Most environments I've seen only have it enabled on voice SSIDs.

I guess that explains it,I was unaware that all clients had to support it.

Thanks for the super fast response! :)
