    hiho,

I ran into to problem that one of my 24 ap-103 has lost its lan connectivity.

It does have Link and the eth led is on on the iap.

Console says that the lan is active and has correct ip (static, no dhcp).

Console says tthe routing table is fine (all net routes correct default route correct).

I also checked the vlan setup on the switch port the ap is connected to.

Ap is in iap mode and used to connect to our vc.

To me it looks as if everything on the ap is correct and fine but no traffic at all goes through the Ethernet interface.

This hapend all aof a sudden  after it worked fine for years (installed in 2014, worked since then).

I even connected it to the switch directly so house wiring is not relevant now since it does the same here (switch is capable of POE btw).

    Does anyone have some advice?

There is not enough information.  We would need more details and possibly a tech support from the AP and controller during the problem to understand what is happening.

Can you ping the access point?

When you remove the access point from the network is it still pingable?

    hiho,

no the ap is not pingable.

It remains unpingable if you remove the Lan cable.

Wha more info do you need?

    - have you made any changes in your infrastructure?

    - have you had problems with this access point before?

If this is critical, please open a tac case by visiting here:  http://www.arubanetworks.com/support-services/contact-support/

..because there is only so much information that can be posted here publicly.

The only changes we made were

    - we did a firmware upgrade on all 25  iap in january due to Meltdown/Spectre issue

    - and we switched to the vc havng a static ip and not dynmically being switched to the aps.

    - added some ssl cert to the vc for the instant webinterface

How is the IAP-103 powered?  How is the switch connected to it configured?

IAP is powered via POE by the switch. This is since it was installed and neiter IAP nor wire nor switch were changed.

The port on the switch has poe on and the required vlan settings (untagged in management lan where the ip subnet of the iaps is and tagged in the vlans used for the several wlans).

This worked fine for over 4 years until now...
