AP-515 with IAP-305

    Dear Experts, 

     

    One of the customer is having issues with forming cluster between AP-515 and IAP-305. We have checked the firmware version and IAP-305 is upgraded to match that of 515 but still 515 are not able to join the cluster (IAP-305 is master AP in this case since they were installed first).

     

    Just want to confirm 515 will join the cluster with previous series am i correct?

    Dear Colin,

     

    Its 8.4.0.0_68230 for both.

    That should be supported.  You should get a console cable and see why that AP doesn't join.   Make sure the cluster doesn't have auto-join disabled.

    Not that it should affect this issue, but I would recommend ugrading to the latest 8.5 code (8.5.0.2) which enables some 11ax capabilities on AP-515 and fixes some bugs.

    Dear Experts, 

     

    I think issue is with DRT of 515 which doesnt support PK in 8.4.0.0. How the DRT upgradation process works for the cluster? shall i just upgrade it on Master VC (IAP-305) and the new 515 will upgrade theirs automatically?
