Hey, guys. I'm hoping one of you can tell me what stupid thing I'm doing on our new WAPs. I'm not new to Central, but I am new to this model. Background: we've got ten other WAPs in Central, and all seem to work well except for these new devices. The WAPs are hanging off an Aruba 2930m switch, have been provisioned and show as online in Central. Group membership is fine, and in Central they can be seen with the appropriate SSID and network settings. What do you think it could be? I am only using one of the Ethernet ports.

Can you verify the code and DRT version you're using, and update both to the latest (8.5.0.1 and 1.0_71451)?

Also, please confirm the AP-555 gets at least 802.3at (class4) POE.

Thank you for the response! The AP itself is on 8.5.0.0_70258, and the switch is on 16.08.0001. Is it possible to upgrade the DRT on these? I was under the impression that was only relevant for controller-based environments.

To the best of my knowledge, the switch is at an 802.3bt level of power. (It's what our sales engineer recommended, anyway.)

Is LLDP enabled on the switch, and is the config resitrcting the power per port in any way, shape, or form? On the switch (if it's Aruba switch), you can run

Our Aruba rep put in a ticket with TAC for me, and he figured it out. It was indeed outdated DRT tables that could only be updated while in instant mode. Thank you all for the assist. (Now I get to configure another 20 or so WAPs and get them mounted.)

The DRT version embedded in 8.5.0.0 may not have the fuill regulatory status needed to operate the AP-555.

Best to upgrade the code to 8.5.0.1 (first), and possibly upgrade DRT as well.

And yes, DRT is relevant to all Aruba AP types.
