    Good Day

     

    Just upgraded my Production Env to Airwave 8.0. Funny thing is I cannot seem to find where to add a Wiring Closet for my switches.

    "Wiring Closet" is located under Drawing a Region.  Please search the online help in Airwave (under Documentation) to see how it is done.

    Draw a region on the VisualRF en select the 'Wiring closet' region type for it.

    Double click on it to enter the closet view.

    Hey guys,

     

    I just tried this myself and nowhere I see where you can choose a wiring closet, the documentation is not correct either.

    I have tried on an already existing floorplan and adding a new one.

     

    The options we have are below. Planning, Boundary and probability

    Adding a closet is only available for the non-html5 (flash) version of VisualRF.  You can toggle this by going to VRF -> Setup -> toggle ‘enable html5’ to no, save/apply.  After a few minutes, you should have the Old (flash) version of the site that would allow adding Closets.  You can toggle it back by turning on Enable HTML5 to see the new (non-flash) version of the site.

    A quicker way to switch is using https://youramp/vrf to access the HTML5 (new) version of the site and:

    https://youramp/site_list to access the Flash (older) version of the site.

    Hey Colin,

     

    I was wondering if this was ever going to be added to the HTML5 VRF. I'm currently running 8.2.0.1, and being able to track wiring closets even logically on our VisualRF maps would help us a ton. Do you know if this is on the roadmap?
