Aruba IAP315 not joining cluster/fully booting

    Hello all,

     

    We are in the process of changing all of our access points to IAPs and have been configuring them. We had successfully confgured multiple IAP 305s and a 304 by having them boot with DHCP and then assigning a static address later one, they were all in the same vlan and broadcasting the same SSIDs.

     

    On the 315, I changed the address and followed the same steps as with the other ones but the IAP will not show up inside the virtual controller. I can type in the address of the 315 into a browser and it will route me to the GUI of the virtual controller but the AP will not be listed with the cluster. The system status light is green/flashing so I think the boot is finished.

     

    I tried to upgrade the firmware on all the IAPs and the result is the same.

     

    Does anyone know what might be causing this?

    What version of Instant is your existing cluster?

    6.5.4.8_65873 Ursa

     

    One of the 315s was on 6.5.4.3 Hercules and the other 8.3.0.6 Hercules.

    Did you try to downgrade them both to 6.5.4.8?

    I upgraded to master IAP305 to 8.3.0.6 and now they are working and seeing eachother.
