    Hi all,

I have installed Freeradius tool on a VM running Kali Linux.

I have added the aruba virtual controller to "clients.conf" of the freeradius configuration.

Added a test username and password to the "users" configuration file.

I started the the freeradius server and internally tested for authentication using the command " radtest <username> <user-password> localhost 0 <radius-test-secret> " the radtest worked fine.

I added the freeradius as authentication server to the aruba virtual controller. Created an ssid and assigned to the freeradius server.

The controller doesnt seem to pass the authentication request to the freeradius server. Anyway to check this connection?

Happy to provide more info (config screenshots etc..)

    Thanks in advance

Can you ping the freeradius server from the controller commandline?  Is the radius key correct on both sides?

Are you using encryption (802.1x) or are you using captive portal? (pap)

    Thanks for reply,

No I cannot ping the freeradius server from the CLI.

I'm positive the secrets are correct on both sides

If you cannot ping the server from the instant commandline, you need to correct that first....
