Hello. I'm new in Aruba community.

In my company we use Aruba AP 207 for wi-fi implementation.

I wanted to know if arubaOS is something different from Instant, because I searched for updates on firmwares and I found different versions for each one.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

For ArubaOS you also need a controller and licenses.

Most common features are available on both ArubaOS and instant.

If you don’t have a controller use instant, if you have a controller use ArubaOS

aruba os is the os used for the controller.

The instant version is the os used by APs that are kept in standalone mode.

Normally, the instant AP can also work as a campus AP, but in apboot mode, you can download os from the controller using the command bootcmd tftpboot or convert from gui to campus AP.

    update.

All new model AP's will be unified AP's and can function as CAP, IAP or RAP.
