Can IAP-325 hold more clients because it has more antenna and better hardware??

I am trying to figure out what are the extra antennas on the W-IAP can do.

the 200 series has models that are 4 antennas and 6 antennas, then there's the 325 that has 8 antennas.

I was told to have the best performance, it's best to have max of 25 clients per IAP. If that's the case, does it apply to all the IAPs? Since 325 has better hardware and more antennas, does this mean it can handle more users and has longer range?

The extra antenna(s) are because the 324 uses MIMO 4x4 radios (4 antennas). The number of clients on each AP are very much dictated by the applications/client requirements. You can put 100 clients per radio on an AP-325 if it's just basic internet and email access. If you need to sustain 25 concurrent VoiP sessions on clients, or video sessions, then maybe 25 per radio is the target. The 205 is a lower CPU AP so targets like 25-35 users on the 205 is more appropriate.

    Thanks for the reply.

Does that mean in conclusion, AP 324 can hold more clients than a 205? what is the CPU difference between the 2 models? does 324 has better range and stability than 205?

    Thanks

Better to say the 325 can handle higher client loads and more sustained throughput than the 205 yes. The 325 has better CPU and memory yes. Probably slightly better range yes, but stability should be the same.
