Captive Portal Using HTTP Not HTTPS

I have a mix of IAP325s and IAP205s. We just started having problems on the public wifi using the captive portal. The users get a warning saying it's unsecured.

It looks to me like it's due to the SSL certificate that the IAPs came with expiring.

All we do with our captive portal is have the user accept terms of service before connecting. No authentication etc. So, I'm wondering if instead of paying money to purchase a public SSL certificate if we can just have the captive portal use HTTP instead of HTTPS. Is that possible?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I don't believe that's possible. You can only use HTTP if using an external captive portal.
