FIPS Hardware

Hello All,

Customer is quering why is the FIPS standard hardware slightly more expensive than the normal counter part. What is added? Certification etc? How do we verified if that is a truely FIPS standard hardware? Since it is Instant if we are doing MESH is it FIPS supported?

Thanks in advance,

Re: FIPS Hardware

It's for the certification process and enhanced tamper resistant features of the controllers and APs. The controller has a different model number, tamper evident labels and seals and also different code (only FIPS certified encryption supported etc).

There are FIPS Instant APs available.
